Erin Handley

Erin Handley is an Australian journalist based in Cambodia. She was previously a reporter at the Phnom Penh Post where she covered women’s rights, refugees, politics and the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.

Prior to her work in Cambodia, she worked at Fairfax Regional media outlets in Australia—The Bendigo Advertiser in Central Victoria and The Northern Daily Leader in Tamworth.

She also edited for human rights journal Right Now from 2012 until 2016 and was an editor Farrago, the University of Melbourne student newspaper, in 2011.

Her freelance work has appeared in The Age, The Guardian Australia, The Australian, Mekong Review, Crikey, Junkee, The Interpreter, Inside Story, ArtsHub, Right Now, in Brief and Farrago.

She has dabbled in radio journalism as reporter for Panorama, a current affairs radio show on SYN 90.7 FM. She is a book lover and tennis tragic.
